About Us

Elk Lake Work N' Play was originally called Ted's Sales & Service and was founded in 1972 by Ted & Evelyn Daub. It started out as an automotive repair shop. Ted then started getting into snowmobiles and outboards. He started off selling Johnson Snowmobiles and Mercury Outboards.

When Yamaha became available in the snowmobile market Ted jumped on this and thus started the beginning of a long relationship with Yamaha. He later branched out to motorcycles and A.T.V.'s. In 1986 Yamaha Outboards became available in Canada as did Power Products.

Our business has shown a steady growth with Yamaha Products ever since. Today we have been in business for over 28 years. I, Mark Daub, took over the business with the help of Evelyn in 1999. We are ranked in the Top 15 of Yamaha Dealers for the Customer Satisfaction Index, which shows our commitment to our customers.

We have recently expanded and upgraded our showroom as well as taking on some new boat lines. Misty River, G3 as well as our long time favourite Mirrocraft, which gives us with the ability to provide you with what you want!

Mark is currently President of the Elk Lake Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and is also actively involved in the local A.T.V Club. He never misses a chance to take his FJ out for a spin and keeps his boat in the water in his back yard for those impromptu rides up the river!
